Scalloped Sweet Potatoes and Apples

 

3 pounds boiled sweet potatoes or 2 17 ounce cans sweet potatoes, drained and

sliced

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup pecan halves

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon mace

1 1 1/4 pounds can pie apple filling

2 tablespoons butter

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Peel and clean boiled sweet potatoes; slice into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Mix together brown sugar, pecan halves, salt and mace; set aside.

Into an oblong 8 cup casserole, alternately layer sweet potato slices, apple pie

filling and brown sugar mixture.

Dot with small butter pieces; cover.

Bake into preheated oven, for approximately 30 minutes.

Makes 8 servings.
