Guest guest
I think they would be really good beer battered. Here is the ingredient list, as long as you consider beer vegan this could work, Beer Batter Ingredients: 1 12 oz can or bottle Beer 1 1/2 cups Flour 1/2 tsp Salt 1 tsp Paprika 1 cup Flour , " Michelle Dixon " <Petagoatjunction wrote: > > Does anyone have a recipe for vegan fried squash blossoms? Last year I made them with herbed cream cheese in the center and then dipped them in egg and then seasoned bread crumbs before frying. I am now vegan so don't want to use the cream cheese or egg. Could an herbed tofu work in the center and if so what could I use insted of the egg wash for the outside? > > Michelle in NV >
Guest guest
Michelle, There is a vegan cream cheese you can get at the health food store. Honestly, it does not taste as good to me - but if you are putting herbs in it you could probably make it taste very yummy. There is also egg substitute that comes in a box. I have never tried it, but would be interested in knowing if that would work for batter.
