There are a bunch in our Soup recipes, in the HOT SOUP subfolder of recipes.

Here is one of mine from the files, that we really enjoy. It is super easy to

make.

Split Pea Soup

2 1/4 c. Green or yellow Split Peas

1 Onion, diced

1 c. Celery, diced

1 tsp. Salt

1/4 t. Marjoram

2 qt. Water

1 lb. Can of Evaporated Milk(optional)

Rinse and sort the Peas. Add to 2 qt. boiling water. Reduce heat and

add

onions, celery, salt and Marjoram.

Simmer, covered until peas are cooked to a soup consistency about 1 hr.

Add

the can of evaporated milk if desired. Serve.

Enjoy,

Judy

ISO Split pea soup recipe

Ok ya'll I just had split pea soup for the first time since I was like 5. I

don't think it was totally vegetarian (it was a mix I bought at the grocery

store and while I couldn't see any chicken flavoring on the ingredient list I

think chicken bullion was part of it).. I LOVED it. BUT I was wondering if

anyone had a good recipe that uses maybe veggie broth or bullion, as I like it

better than the other. I really want to make this again, but want it to truly a

veggie soup. Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much. I have been snooping around the files just hadn't gotten

that far yet, and then plum forgot about it when I needed a recipe! LOL Guess

I'm getting my senior moments a little early. *blushing*
