Guest guest
Auricular acupuncture is very effective to promote smoking cessation. One thing I did was switch to smoking a pipe. It's far less offensive, and you don't inhale the smoke. Now I barely ever smoke, maybe once or twice a week. - <thelilacflower Saturday, March 07, 2009 9:56 AM TM cigarettes OT My dad died in his 50's he smoked 4 packs of unfiltered Pall Mall's in the red pack and was an alcoholic since his early 20's so I always remember that when I need will power. I work in an alcohol/drug rehab and many staff who are in recovery have said that quitting smoking was the hardest thing they ever did...worse than giving up any other addiction. Believe it or not, the psychological factor would be harder for me than the actual nicotine craving. I can't smoke anywhwere at work (have to leave the property) and have gone an entire day without smoking without going bonkers. Anyone who smokes knows it's all about...the cigarette when you pick up the phone, sit down at the computer, after a meal, with a cup of coffee, when you get in the car, etc. When my mom was 70 she decided that was it, she put down her cigarettes and never picked one up again. As you said, when you're ready, and only then, will it work. One day on your own terms you will quit smoking. You aren't ready yet. It is a terrible habit to kick. We all know of vegetarians who have several so called vices, live on junk food and are quite overweight. I still smoke (hiss, boo), drink sparingly, if at all, but my diet is a healthy one. My weight has been stable for many years and my numbers are good. It is funny how many times I've had someone say, you ate a candy bar aren't you a vegetarian, you can't have a drink you're a vegetarian, when I smoked I would hear that too. I never undertsood what that meant lol Chico

Guest guest
I think taping the magnetic beads in your ears is actually more effective for smoking cessation than needling, because they can stay in there for up to three days. - " ricsojosdedios " <RicG7777 Saturday, March 07, 2009 6:23 PM Re: TM cigarettes OT > Judith, > > If you'll scroll down you'll see we were talking about acupuncture not > acupressure. > > Ric > > , judith bell <judithb wrote: >> >> >> FYI Accupressure does not incorporate needles...that's acupuncture... >> :) >> >> >> --- On Sat, 3/7/09, mike chaney <xmedman90 wrote: >> >> > mike chaney <xmedman90 >> > Re: Re: TM cigarettes OT >> > >> > Saturday, March 7, 2009, 11:46 AM >> > Needles?
