Guest guest
Never had asparagus?? Wow, they must really love you for introducing them to it! I was annoyed by a vegan I knew in college who was very self-righteous, so when I went vegetarian, I decided I wasn't going to be anything like her. People get really, really curious when you don't act self-righteous about what you eat. My dad eats several meat substitutes now, to help keep his cholesterol low. I told him which ones were good. Guest guest
I can believe it. There are a number of veggies I haven't tried because when I sniff them, they stink to me. However, I can also see myself trying a bite for you. :-) Now that I read that before sending it, it occurs to me that part of why raw veggies are easier for me to try is because they smell less than cooked ones. I knew I had texture issues, but I hadn't worked out the raw/cooked smell thing for myself yet. Hm. Thanks, I think. ;-) -ginger > That is true, I have even had coworkers try asparagus since they > nev er ate it before. Can you believe that? Guest guest
I usually prefer raw veggies to cooked ones, too. Asparagus can't be cooked very much, green beans barely steamed. I think it's the smell for me, too. I hate the smell of cooked broccoli or cauliflower. Audrey S. On Mon, Mar 9, 2009 at 12:56 PM, Ginger Fitzsimmons < matildalucet wrote: > I can believe it.
