Guest guest
Thanks Pete. Sounds good, but might be more work than I want to try right now. The kids barelly seem to give me a break. LOL. But I decided to consume as little animal product as possible. I've tried several of the vegan cheeses, and they are OK, but I've found that homemade soy yogurt cheese can be very good for most applications (of course it doesn't 'melt' but the flavor is good and that's what really counts. I make my own soy milk, yogurt and yogurt cheese and tofu... i press the yogurt cheese in the same mold that i use for the tofu, and it comes out about the same consistency as velveeta so it can put on crackers, or frozen, then a couple quick pulses in the food processor for a 'shredded cheese' some cannot eat a lot of soy, but at least it gives you one more thing to try when you get a chance have fun and congrats on deciding to give dairy a break - i hope you get the results you're hoping for
