Guest guest
Hi, We took the children last year to Amsterdam and had a fantastic time. We ate with no problem. One very good place was Bolhoed, Prinsengracht 60 - 62, 1015DX Amsterdam, Tel: 0031 (0)206261803, Opening times: 12pm - 10pm. We managed to get a table just walking in, but they recommend booking as it is very popular. Also the children loved eating at Maoz Falafel. They are a chain and can be found throughout Amsterdam, individually made falafel wraps (and fries for those are picky). We also ate at a Pancake house, which was very touristic but kids enjoyed it. I have asked the kids (ages 15, 13, and 11) what they enjoyed doing the most and their top were Anne Frank's house, bike ride to windmill south of Amsterdam, Heineken brewery tour (I know, shouldn't admit that one but they have loads of hands on activities directed at children) and Ajax football stadium. I guess my children are just bohemians as they have not rated the museums, galleries etc which i would say were the hightlight. If you Google vegetarian Amsterdam there is a few very good websites - http://www.eatdrink3d.com/items.aspx#mapping Hope this is helpful.
