Guest guest
Louisa, welcome to the list. Looks like you might be able to give us vegetarian dishes from all over. If you go to our files at (address below) you will find thousands of recipes, and they are grouped into categories for us. Guest guest
Hi Marilyn Thanks for your kind welcome! With my own cooking I tend to just invent things using tastes I like... and I haven´t really got recipes as such, my things are more along the lines of ideas to follow.. and adapt.. I just cook for myself so I tend to make snacky things rather than elaborate dishes at the moment.. I could definitely use a bit of inspiration to make my eating healthier and more interesting.. I´m a bit bored with my own ideas! I like doing things I can make and then freeze in portions! Being on my own I also sometimes find myself of having to use excess things up all of a sudden before it´s too late... For example excess spare eggs (I have a chicken that lays fresh eggs) and other excess supplies like bread.. so I have some 'loafy' dishes which I´ll post about.. savoury ones along pizza themes, and sweet ones with things like bananas.. Louisa Louisa, welcome to the list. Looks like you might be able to give us vegetarian dishes from all over. Guest guest
Your recipes should like they will be good. I do eat a lot of eggs as I love them. Egg and Cheese sandwiches on a biscuit is one of my weaknesses. Asparagus is out now, and I love it grilled. I cook for myself, but I am always filling up the freezer. Yesterday, a delicious black bean soup was posted and is probably not in the recipes yet. I don't know what days they post the recipes in the recipe file. You can go to the main page and backtrack and find if you would like. I like my dried beans and peas. I have an electric pressure cooker, so it is only 6 to 8 minutes for fresh white or brown rice. Guest guest
That all sounds very interesting! Whereabouts are you in the world out of interest? Asparagus is probably out here too, in Spain, at the moment.. I´d never thought of grilling it.. do you put any butter on it to grill it? How long is it before it´s tender and edible? I also like beans and lentils.. I´ll look out for the black bean soup.. I have an ordinary gas hob pressure cooker that I can use too. This is all making me hungry.. I expect I´ll start eating better once I get into this group! Very healthy stuff :0) One thing I started doing recently was sprouting seeds ie cress, alfalfa, mustard...which is healthy too, and no cooking required.. just cut and sprinkle over things (would be nice in your cheese and egg sandwiches!) Guest guest
I love sprouts. I am in Kentucky, USA. In the northeastern part of the state. I just spray it with a little olive oil and grill it about 3 minutes until it is crisp tender. You can cook it longer if you like it on the mushy side.
