Guest guest
I bought this movie used a couple of years ago, and while I haven't completely shed all my fast food ways, I tell you I can't eat McDonalds french fries. Since watching it I have added much more organic foods into our diet especially veggies and fruits. My kids and I love organic milk, my hubby absolutely loves it and goes through it quickly. It really did educate me about so much, that now when I do eat something from a fast food place or even a prepackaged snack I really have to think about it. I have had a few unexpected benefits, like loosing weight, less sick, and feel more energetic. I can certainly tell when I haven't been eating well, so it happens less and less often. Excellent movie, even my 9 year old enjoyed it. LOL He won't eat the fries either. ~Tee - Donnalilacflower GROUP Wednesday, January 28, 2009 6:01 PM Taken Super Size dvd Thanks everyone Checked by AVG - http://www.avg.com Version: 8.0.176 / Virus Database: 270.10.15/1921 - Release 1/28/2009 6:37 AM
Guest guest
The most eye-opening thing for me was actually in the bonus material - when they put some McD's fries and some locally-made fries in glass containers to observe them for months. Of course the more natural (so to speak) fries got moldy and putrid in a few days, but the McDonalds fries looked EXACTLY THE SAME months later! What the heck do they do to those things to get them to where they never change?!? If you like you liked Supersize Me, I highly recommend Morgan Spurlock's TV show - 30 Days. I am watching the episode where he spends 30 days in jail right now and it is so good! Get them on Netflix!! -Jacki in soon-to-be-cold again Florida. , " ~Tee~ " <teer2008 wrote: > > I bought this movie used a couple of years ago, and while I haven't completely shed all my fast food ways, I tell you I can't eat McDonalds french fries. Guest guest
I also own this DVD, and I am somewhat amazed at what happened to this man's health. It was very interesting to hear how he felt during this experiment. He said once he started eating the fast food, he felt better. Later, he felt depressed. His wife, then girlfriend, Alex, has a website for healthy eating. It is http://www.healthychefalex.com/. Guest guest
We use this movie in our health classes on occasion. The first time I watched it I almost threw up with him during that one scene! I love his show 30 days too. I'll have to see if I can find the channel again. I've forgotten which one it was on. Isn't his wife a vegan? Sam I also own this DVD, and I am somewhat amazed at what happened to this man's health. It was very interesting to hear how he felt during this experiment.
