I love shakes for breakfast. I've been eating raw, so here's what I had this

morning:

1/4 mango

1/2 apple (I was out of bananas, but 1/2 banana is really good)

2 large strawberries

1 slice pineapple (I cut mine off a fresh pineapple)

water and/or some juice from an orange (I'm also out) or if you aren't eating

raw, 1/2 to 1 cup orange juice

Optional: 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon bee pollen (some people say they don't like

it, but I don't even notice it)

1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon raw organic honey (or any honey if you aren't eating

raw)

several small spinach leaves (don't add too many if you're not used to this or

if the green will turn you off)

I use all fresh organic produce. You can freeze them for later use yourself (but

I don't buy the already-frozen stuff). If you want it smoother and didn't freeze

your fruit first, add a couple of ice cubes. Alternatively, if you use orange

juice (or make your own), freeze some in an ice tray and add that to your

smoothies. Yum!

I also had a handful of (pre-soaked) almonds and walnuts. They went well with

the shake.

POWER UP HEALTH SHAKE

1-1/2 CUPS ORANGE JUICE

1 CUP FROZEN CANTALOUPE CHUNKS

1 CUP FROZEN STRAWBERRIES

1 CUP FROZEN PEACHES

4 TBSP WHEAT GERM

Combine all the ingredients in your blender and blend. Using frozen fruit

makes the drink creamy. Makes 1 serving.
