Guest guest
Hi All - I'm a mom in a family of 5 who decided to feed her family better. I've been trying all kinds of recipes and must say black bean burgers rock! My biggest challenge is preparing vegetables I didn't grow up with. It's been hit and miss with some vegetables and I refuse to drench them in a sauce or cheese like substance. Another challenge is my mother who moved in with us. Anything not healthy she considers " the good stuff " . I recently got her to keep her " good stuff " in her room and stop offering it to the kids in the house. Anyone have words of wisdom on how to bring your own mother around on healthier eating? Example: For the sake of family harmony I've stopped serving cauliflower at dinner. Well at least that's what my mom thinks ; ) I've put pureed cauliflower or tofu into several dinner meals without her knowing and she's loved it! I shouldn't need to sneak around, any suggestions? I'm looking forward to learning and trying new things! Kellie
