Don't let the flatulence factor be a turnoff, since the more you eat, the more your GI tract will adapt. Plenty of foods do this, but that doesn't mean we should avoid them. They are so good for us. Just excuse yourself to the bathrooom if you can't keep it in. Everyone has gas. It's part of a normal digestive system. Beans are very good for your heart. You need to eat them at least 4 times a week to get the cardiovascular benefit. It can even lower your cholesterol. LOL Look in our soup, salads, sandwiches, casserole, mexican, and bean recipes. There are tons of ways to enjoy those beans. I love to spoon garbanzos and kidney beans over my tossed salad.
