Hello, Trillium --

Welcome to the group. I know you'll find lots of inspiration here

both from the endless recipes available in the Files and from the

members of the group.

Best holiday wishes from a Washington trillium!

Hello to you too!

If you have only just started cooking, then you have started in the right

place. You'll be amazed at the amount of pretty dishes you can create with

vegetables, fruit and pulses. My son has recently become vegetarian, and

delighted himself by making a Nut Roast!! I can't wait to get the recipe

that he has promised me!

It was lovely to hear from you, and happy holiday's.

Thank you both for the welcome :-)

The nut roast sounds interesting! I have been surprised in my

vegetarian recipe searches to find out how many wonderful dishes can

be made from dried ingredients, like nuts or sun dried tomatoes or

even dried chives. Somehow it always seemed to me that to be

vegetarian I had to lug bucket loads of fresh produce home

daily....silly me! Fresh is fabulous, of course, but I am learning

that dried staples can be as easy or even easier than when cooking

meat based recipes.

Ayubowan & Vanakkam Prasad,

Glad to have you in the group. And looking forward to seeing some Sri Lankan

recipes. I lived in Anuradhapura for a while and grew to love Sri Lankan food

-- so spicy and tasty!

Your email says mahaweli -- are you near Dambulla area?

Peace,

Diane

I am new to the group!  I am a busy on-the-fly mommy with not a lot of time for

cooking, but I LOVE IT!  I am looking for simple, tastey recipes that my family

will love and will be either good to make ahead or quick in a pinch.  Thank for

letting me be part of the group. I look forward to sharing and receiving veggie

inspiration!
