Guest guest
Even some vitamins encased in gelatin capsules are non-vegetarian. There is vegetarian gelatin, but many gelatins are made from cows. A vegetarian pharmacist enlightened me on this subject. I also kindly ask if you know about rennet. It's used in lots of cheeses, but there are zillions of vegetarian rennet cheeses on the market today. Please don't be offended. When I first became vegetarian, I was unaware of animal gelatin & animal rennet, both of which are definitely not vegetarian.
