Guest guest
I am only a few years past the cookbook " A Man, A Can, A Plan, " but I want to contribute something (since I have been using so many recipes from here).. VINEGAR: We found this balsamic vinegar: http://www.cooksshophere.com/products/vinegar.htm Please mention your favorite balsamic vinegar.. Villa Manodori Artigionale is our clear favorite, but it is $50 / 8.5 ounces.. We tried a slightly cheaper version (organic) but it was watery, and so the bottle disappeared much faster than the Artigionale bottle.. It is thick, so the bottle lasts longer than you think.. FROM this website: http://www.cooksshophere.com/products/vinegar.htm WE TRIED: Villa Manodori Artigionale Reggio Emilia Both were great.. OLIVE OIL: From this website we have tried: http://www.cooksshophere.com/products/oliveoil.htm PDO Sitia DOP Tenuta Cocevola Colonna Barbera Olio Novello Badia a Coltibuono We liked all these, more than any olive oil from any supermarket.. The website tells you when they were bottles, which is important with olive oil because I believe the shelf life is 18 months.. And if you get an 18 month old bottle, it will get old much faster one you open it.. They sell older oil at reduced prices (I do not know how well these work).. bobbler
