Guest guest
Make sushi rice. Do you have any short grain rice? You can fan it as you add a little rice vinegar and toss at the same time. You can put anything in the center of it. I wrap it around diced veggies. I make a boiled down adzuki bean kind of paste, no recipe really and I add to the center. It's good wrapped around a veggie meatball too. You're creative have fun. Your cat LOL Yes, I know what you were thinking Through violence, you may 'solve' one problem, but you sow the seeds for another. The vet will have to do the big snip, but he schedules our animals on Saturday. (Our vet is one of the best.) Soooooo I was predisposed to thinking of ..... rice balls. Yeah, that's it. Has anyone on the list successfully made rice balls around a black bean filling? Before I go into the 100 degree plus kitchen (right now South Georgia is hot) to invent these to keep in the fridge for a few days, I thought it would be better to see if anyone has made them yet. Nope, no recipe, it's just a conception in my brain. I'm thinking of cutting carrots into square logs, lightly poaching them, then cutting a small cube, wrapping black beanish paste around that and forming the rice ball around that and decorating with a strip of nori. I did find a bento site that has vegetarian bento ideas and recipes and photos showing how to make rice balls. http://justbento. com/bento- no-67-zucchini- two-ways- vegetarian- bento Jeanne in GA
