Guest guest Posted May 14, 2009 Report Share Posted May 14, 2009 Hot Buttered Rum Loaf Ener-G Egg for 1 egg, prepared plus enough water to equal 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons rum extract 1/4 cup soy margarine, softened 3 3/4 cups flour 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon cardamom 1 teaspoon bread machine yeast nutty topping (recipe follows) Place all ingredients except nutty topping in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select the sweet or basic/white cycle. Do not use the delay cycle. Prepare the nutty topping. About 40-50 minutes before loaf is finished, lift the cover of the bread machine and carefully brush topping on top of the loaf. Close lid to continue the cycle. Remove bread from machine and cool on a wire rack. Makes a two pound loaf (16 slices). Per slice: 170 calories 4 grams fat Nutty Topping Ener-G Egg for 1 egg yolk, prepared 1/2 tablespoon finely chopped pecans 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar, packed Mix all ingredients.
