Guest guest
I'll tell you honestly, I thought that the recipe sounded like it could be cooked in a crock pot and I totally messed up with that idea. I soaked the beans over night and then plopped the little lovelies in the crockpot with the herbs, spices, and tomatoes and thought it would come out the same as the recipe called for. I was dreadfully wrong. Thank you Dragon. Hugs, Pam /
Guest guest
ooooh no! cooking the pintos slowly ... yep for the FIRST cook, then for the refried bit, ignore the word fried, I would steam them to soften them then mash them and serve them! Actually thinking on it as soon a they are cooked mash them and forget the " refried " bit " The Dragon (aka High Priestess Enchanting Even weave) Current stitching - RSPCA Perfect Pets, Map of Durham, Cat Ornaments, Green Man http://tempewytch.blogspot.com/ - stitching/house http://tempewytchdiet.blogspot.com/ - diet/angst --- On Mon, 1/6/09, Pam Fedrowisch <meme4002 wrote: Pam Fedrowisch <meme4002 Re: refried beans/Dragon Monday, 1 June, 2009, 1:00 AM I'll tell you honestly, I thought that the recipe sounded like it could be cooked in a crock pot and I totally messed up with that idea.
