Most cases of food poisoning from eating sprouts are because of infected beans. Do not spout beans that are packaged for planting or packaged store bought beans unless organic and marked safe for sprouting. Most beans and seeds are treated with chemicals . Some bean sprouts contain toxins and should be cooked before eating.
