Guest guest
Thanks to all of you for your advice about preparing dried Garbanzos. I soaked them overnight and cooked them for apx. 30 min. and they are so much tastier than canned. They have a nice chewy texture without that dryness that some organic canned Garbanzos have. I mashed some and added onion and garlic powder, basil, Tumeric , fresh Parsley, white pepper, and a couple tabs. of Veganaise. Ate it on crackers and it was soooo yummy. Today I will flavor some of the ones already cooked and sprinkle them with garlic etc.,dry them and see how they are as a snack. I'm also going to sprout a few today. Garbanzos are not expensive but dried a large package that costs only a couple dollars is going to make a whole lot of meals compared to the price of canned. The most important benefit is the flavor.
