Guest guest
I disagree, the Yves and Tofurky Italian sausages and brats are my favorite and I serve these all the time to non-vegetarians and they can't believe they aren't the real thing. I hope they never take these off the market. They perfected these wonderfully. Fennel seeds, folks at Yves, you forgot the fennel seeds. ?I guess some things just can't be duplicated.
Guest guest
I'm Italian from Hell's Kitchen, have high cholesterol and I'm not vegetarian but I eat these Italian sausages and I think they are very close to the real thing, so does my family. Guest guest
Isn't that funny, in my biggest of meat eating days I never liked sausage as much as I like these. sausage was always too greasy for me, and the smell of it cooking turned my stomach a bit. Oh, and another funny thing, i detest fennel. it is one of the few things I don't like. that licorice flavor makes me all <eehhhhhhhheeeoooooyuk> i really enjoy the Yves. To me they taste like sausage without the grease. ) TendrMoon wrote: > > > Well, having had the good fortune over the years (pre veggie days) of > eating fantastic Italian sausage from Jersey and NY, this can't even > come close. ?They're good, but taste nothing like Italian sausage. ? > ?They're quite large and the texture is good (not rubbery), but have a > smokey flavor...more like a spicy hot dog which will work for me when > I'm in a hot dog mood. Guest guest
Is that what I don't like, fennal seeds? I hate that taste. I like these vegatarian sausage ones. I cut them up and cook with a diced jalapeno, onions, bell peppers and put in spaghaeti sauce or in a roll and eat it. Paul
