Eggplant Question - Does the salt flavor remain in the eggplant?

I'm on a very low sodium diet. I can't tolerate the taste of salt. I'm just

concerned the flavor of salt will stick with the eggplant.

No, you wipe it off..all it does is draw out some of the water so it isn't

mushy.
