If I can get ahold of some really good bread... cucumber, tomato, avocado,

mayonnaise, and provolone cheese.

Hi,

Whatever the sandwich may be I like to add fresh

herbs from the yard. I like a few leaves of basil,

thyme, mint, chives, some days sage, tarragon, etc.

Lemon thyme is fun at times. Maybe some cilantro.

Admittedly a number of things have suffered a bit

from the weather but a lot are in pots in a covered

patio where I've put them for the winter. A few

chili peppers are always a welcome addition. I've

pulled all that I could off plants last week. The frosts

we've had has killed them off for this season though.

However I still have thai, pequins, zimbabe bird peppers,

etc., sitting and drying, assuming I don't use them up.

Tasty.

That sounds great! I've used SmartLife or Yves fake turkey lunchmeat for a

reuben, too. But I prefer Thousand Island dressing. :)

I love tomatoes, cucumbers, sprouts and lettuce on some whole wheat bread

with a little bit of Miracle Whip. Sometimes I add vegetarian bacon

slices.

My favorite sandwich is a Hummus Wrap.

I usually make the hummus myself.

The way I usually make it is a nice organic wheat wrap, hummus, red

leaf lettuce, onions, some kind of hot pepper, and a Santa Fe type

dressing.

Also sometimes I will add tomato or shredded carrots.

Hummus or Garbanzo's are perfect you can make them so many different

ways.

Peanut Hummus next week for me.

Experimenting with sprouted breads lately.

My favourite is peanut butter and banana on fresh flax seed bread with

some hemp, flax, or chia seeds. I also love tomato, cucumber, sprouts,

cheese, and stripples (vege breakfast strips) on toasted Dimphelmeir's

bread (usually the sunflower rye) with some mayo. Yum!

favorite: Breakfast or a snack: orowheat english muffin, tosted;

morningstar farms breakfast patty, spicy red pepper miso mayo

<http://www.misomayo.com/>  (<-- OMG so good), and cheese (either raw

sharp white cheddar cheese OR if wanna go sans dairy, yves pepper jack

soy cheese). served open faced. Sacramento, Ca: LaBou --> Avocado Club

<http://www.labou.com/>   " avocado, red delicious apples, Chèvre

goat cheese, romaine lettuce and mayo on walnut bread " Houston, TX:

Baba Yega Restaurant --> Veggie Reuben

<http://www.babayega.com/vegetarian.html>   " Homemade wheat roast,

melted swiss cheese, sauerkraut & 1000 Island dressing on rye "

Sacramento Ca: Tower Cafe: Earth Burger

<http://www.towercafe.com/brunch.htm>   " Grilled vegetarian patty

made of nuts, rice, cheese and mushrooms. Served with tomatoes, lettuce

and onion served on a sesame hamburger bun. " Their patty is homemade

and like nothing I've ever had. I'm surprised to see it has mushrooms

because I hate mushrooms. anyway I added these two surprise

ingredients.. sounds weird, but it's awesome....) avocado and thai
