Hello everybody...

I was veggie for a long time, but being married to a heavy meat/cheese/egg eater

(who also smokes) I gradually slipped...an egg here, a little chicken broth

there, until I wound up eating fish, chicken, eggs, and LOTS of cheese and

drinking lots of milk.

Then I recently started reading and watching videos again...John Robbins, T.

Colin Campbell, Joel Fuhrman, Neal Barnard...you get the picture.

I saw some really gross pictures that reminded me what I was actually

consuming.

That did it...I'm going vegan...NOW.

Soooo...being a 'mature' lady of 71, and having grown children and step-children

(and grandchildren) who just don't 'get it', plus living with my husband, two

dogs and a cat who all are pretty much carnivores (our tortoise, thank heaven,

is vegetarian)...I need all the support I can get.

No veggie friends either....and nobody I know seems interested in their health.

I have, of course, managed to put on 10 or 15 pounds that should soon disappear

with a little exercise and healthy eating.

So...here I am...going back to eating RIGHT. No beasties and no animal products

except a little honey.
