Guest guest
Christie, I can see why there is so long a waiting list for an " allotment " plot. That's such a wonderful idea! I live in a small mid-western U.S. town do not have a place here for a veg. garden--our property slopes steeply and we do not own it--cannot radically " alter " what's already here. I would so LOVE to have a place to keep a garden, even if I had to leave home to do it! Cheers and good wishes! --Laura B., in Illinois PS: I'm sorry you were locked out of the barbecue! Too bad, because no one got to see or try what you brought, but good, because you were able to keep it all for yourself! :-> (you wrote): Allotments are small plots of land that can be rented from the city council specifically for the growing of fruit and veg - great for people living in apartments with no garden of their own. They are so popular there is a 5-10 year waiting list here in Edinburgh.
