Hello,

 

My name is Janet and I live in Oakland, CA, with my four cats. I have

decided to (once again) try becoming a vegetarian, for various

reasons, mainly philosophical. I also love vegetables. But I've had

trouble in the past with meat cravings, worries that I wouldn't be

getting the nutrients I need in a vegetarian diet, how to cook

something " presentable " for non-vegetarian dinner guests, etc.

 

I'm pretty good a whipping up bizarre but tasty dishes to eat by

myself - like this morning I warmed up some leftover red rice with

garlic and parsley that I made last night, with melted cheese and

butter on top. It was delicious, but not something I could serve

" normal " guests.

 

So I'm looking forward to finding some good recipes here, as well as

advice on how to do this, the best way to transition over, etc.
