Guest guest
Let me preface this by stating that I am not a vegetarian per se, I will partake of meat under certain circumstances (grass fed, humanely raised, I know the farmer etc.) but those conditions are hard to come by and expensive so I eat mostly meatless, which is why I am here. Ok so now that I've made that clear I cannot fathom a pizza party without a cheese pizza. What on earth were they thinking? Especially with kids - every kid I know eats only cheese pizza. I would have ordered my own and if questioned explain why. Know what I hate? I hate it when you order mozzarella sticks and the marinara sauce has hamburger in it - yuck! Guest guest
That struck me as odd, too, that they didn't order cheese pizza for kids. Even when I was ordering pizza regularly for large groups of adults, I always ordered 1/3 plain cheese. There's always somebody who will only eat cheese. Once during Lent, I didn't order enough cheese -- oops! (I'm not Catholic, hard to remember!) Audrey S. Guest guest
As long as you are pleasant when you ask I know you won't have a problem. They probably just made it easy and placed one big order. Could be they gave the head count and the pizza place made up what they thought would be a good choice. Don't be afraid to speak up, people appreciate it. I like to know when I'm cooking for a group, if there are requests, is anyone allergic, is there something people just can't stand the taste of, etc. I rarely add olives since my niece and I can eat the whole bowl, most of the others don't like them so I leave them out of a few dishes I usualy put them in. On a side note, this isn't a restaurant that's known for it's pizza so I assumed we would have a buffet that includes the salad bar which is why I didn't think to ask her about the food... Guest guest
Every time we are invited to a command dinner at some of my husband's relatives, they put meat in everything. I put a tiny bit of things on my plate and stir it around and make believe I'm eating it. Ugh. Not like I'm missing anything, KWIM? When we're invited out to dinner, the others usually pick out a meat place, like a bbq or fish restaurant. I order a salad and eat a lot of biscuits or rolls.
