Guest guest
You deserved to pat yourself on the back. Keep up the good work. Who cares how long it takes to become vegetarian as long as you add more vegetarian food and keep up with your exercise and healthier eating habits. I live in a very meat and potatoes family and they have agreed to one meatless meal a week, and while they aren't looking I add more and more veggies and grains I'm slowly cutting back on the meat at the same time. Remember if something is worth doing it's worth working at it. I know I feel so much better when I eat more of the veggies/grains and less of the meat, especially the processed stuff. I've lost weight and was able to walk over 4 miles Saturday with my cub scouts. I'm 300+ pounds even now. You can do this. Just don't be afraid to try new things and search the archives for ideas that you can start out with. I know I plan on making the Lentil Chili for tomorrow night as it's supposed to get cold and it looks sooo yummy! I have absolutely no intention of telling my brood there is no meat in it until after they have had some. (Worked with the vegetarian sloppy joes I made last year. Guest guest
Thank you for your kindness. I just woke up one day not liking that I couldn't play with my kids and decided I wanted to be better for them. When David joined the cub scouts one of the things they stress is healthy living, and I wasn't and I knew it, so when I volunteered to be an assistant Webelos leader I kinda figured I had better get cracking. I will admit I am sooo sore after all that walking, but you know what, so are a lot of the skinny people! LOL Granted they probably moved around more, but I am proud of myself that the only event I couldn't do was the scavenger hike. We had just eaten lunch and I could tell I was getting a little dehydrated so I grabbed some water and enjoyed watching my other kids for a little while. Kinda awesome seeing my 16 year old teach my 3 year new things and taking time with him instead of texting his girlfriends. ~Tee - chelsea_cheetah Monday, April 06, 2009 11:05 AM Tee congratulations!
