Guest guest Posted February 3, 2009 Report Share Posted February 3, 2009 Apple Walnut Cobbler 1/2 cup sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon 3/4 cup coarse chopped walnuts 4 cup thinly sliced pared tart apples 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 beaten large egg 1/2 cup evaporated milk 1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted Mix 1/2 cup sugar, the cinnamon and 1/2 cup of the walnuts. Place apples in bottom of greased pie pan or casserole dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon mixture. Stir together dry ingredients. Combine egg, milk and butter; add dry ingredients, all at once and mix until smooth. Pour over apples; sprinkle with remaining walnuts. Bake at 325F for 50 minutes or until done.
