Guest guest Posted April 6, 2009 Report Share Posted April 6, 2009 I'm trying different ways of preparing tempeh, I didn't really plan this as part of a meal so if anyone has ideas on how to serve it I'd love to hear them! - it came out tasty and a way to try tempeh if you're not sure about the taste or texture. Maybe over rice, with favorite veggies on the side or as part of a casserole etc etc...... Next I'm going to try " Buffalo Tempeh Wings " .... Jann (who is searching for things that my family will try and hopefully like enough to have instead of meat (at least once in a while!)) Vegan BBQ Tempeh 8 oz tempeh (I steamed it first for about 10-15 mins) 1 small onion diced 1 cup BBQ sauce (I added a few squirts of ketchup, some garlic powder) Cut block of tempeh into 3 strips (I cut mine into much smaller pieces, " fingers " ). Place onion and tempeh in shallow baking dish with BBQ sauce. Place in refrigerator and allow tempeh to marinate for several hours (I put it in overnight). Cover with foil and bake in 350 degree oven for 30 mins. Makes 3 servings (approx 3 ounces each) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
