hemp butter price?

I saw some hemp butter at Whole Foods. The price was $10.50 for a 10 oz. jar

which seemed a little pricey, especially since I have no idea if I'll like it.

Is this a reasonable price?

 

Also, can somebody tell me what hemp butter tastes like? I like peanut butter,

barely tolerate almond butter, and don't like tahini unless there is a lot of

garlic in it, hiding the taste. :-)

It is expensive because hemp isn't legal to grow in the U.S. It comes from

Canada. Amazon has a good price, you might check there.

I suggest you try hemp nut seeds. I doubt you will like the flavor of hemp

butter, it tastes nothing like peanut butter, it has its own unique flavor.
