As long as your tabby friend doesn't actually wander off with the whole plant in his mouth, I bet it will be fine. Even the summer that it seemed like there was always a neighborhood cat snarfling it, we had more than enough to freeze & share And the visiting kitties seem to sorta kinda keep the birds and squirrels from eating too much of what we're trying to grow for ourselves (There's lots for them to eat elsewhere in the yard.)
