Guest guest
I was making some truffles today (many recipes online) and didn't have enough cocoa for rolling, so I did them in melted milk chocolate then in coconut. They turned out well and son number 4 ate a half dozen of them before taking the rest to the kids. I also added a blob of creamy natural peanut butter to one batch and did them in white chocolate and they were good, too. Thankfully all the chocolates are out of the house, other than the 4 I saved for the husband person and 2 for me. It's getting to be too hot to make candy (no ac in kitchen), so this is probably the last of the candy I'll make till Thanksgiving, when I start making the candies for Christmas/Yule. Other times I've added mini rice krispie type cereal bits, crushed Oreos (those were really obscenely good when done with white chocolate), wrapped truffle around candied cherry, dried blueberries, dried cranberry, raisins, stuff like that.
