Guest guest
This is a good basic hummus recipe. Test the waters with the Tahini some folks do not like the overpowering taste. Hummus is so versatile you could add any mix of items to it to change the flavor. Asparagus was my recent add and it was really good. I have been eating hummus almost everyday for over a year and never make it the same way. , " AJ " <coolcook wrote: > > Scape Hummus > > 2 cans of chick peas (garbanzos) drained > 1 cup raw sesame seeds or tahini > 2 tbsps. olive oil > 1/2 cup lemon juice > 1/2 cup or more fresh chopped garlic scapes > > Place the ingredients in a blender on high until done. Guest guest
Just do not use it. 99% of the time I do not use any Tahini or Sesame Seeds. Basically hummus you use the Garbanzo beans and mix in ingredients to your liking. I like Garbanzo Hummus made with sundried tomato's, jalapeños and a splash of lemon. Use water to get it the consistency you need, Hummus also can be made with different types of beans, Another fun hummus to make is zucchini hummus. This one I make raw vegan and it has no beans in it. Be creative and have fun , myMagen <jc.myheart wrote: > > Hi ... > Is there a way to make hummus without sesame seeds or tahini? > myMagen > > > > > ________________________________ > ZippyPo <joestud469 > > Saturday, January 24, 2009 1:57:40 PM > Re: Scape Hummus. > > > This is a good basic hummus recipe. > > Test the waters with the Tahini some folks do not like the overpowering > taste. > > Hummus is so versatile you could add any mix of items to it to change > the flavor.
