I just wanted to mention that blanching is not necessary for freezing tomatoes.

You can put them directly (after washing) in a bag of your choice and freeze.

When the tomato abundance hits, direct freezing saves a lot of time. When you

thaw them, the skin will slip right off. I take the skins off as they start to

thaw. All tomatoes that we tried (many) direct freeze very well.

Roseta (who has 20 tomato plants on the ground, and many more little ones

growing by the window)
