Indian Style Lemonade

 

8 cups water

1/2 cup fresh lime juice

2/3 cup fresh lemon juice

1 1/3 cups maple syrup

1/2 tbsp. freshly grated ginger

1/8 tsp, cayenne, optional

 

Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher or punch bowl. Serve at

room temperature or chilled. Serves 8.

there's maple syrup in India?  this looks really, really good!

-Kamal,

I can't wait to try this recipe. I love lemonade but it never crossed

my mind to use lime juice with it and the thought of ginger just makes

it more interesting. I think I'll skip the Cayenne but the maple syrup

as a sweetner is interesting. This will certainly be a different taste.

I'm also thinking that this would taste wonderful heated.

This is so funny. I am presently doing a cleansing fast (I'm on day

3) where the only thing I consume is a lemonade recipe that is very

similar to this one. By the way, Deanna, the cayenne pepper is fine.

It just adds a little bite :)
