Guest guest Posted May 3, 2009 Report Share Posted May 3, 2009 I'm not Jackie, but kalamata (or calamata) olives are very different than black olives. They have a " bitey " taste to them that is nothing like black olives, but not like green olives either. I love kalamatas and can't stand green olives. Try one or two from an olive bar somewhere first, you'll either love them or hate them. I've seen olive bars at a lot of grocery stores near the deli.
