Guest guest
I take this to every family potluck we have. My family is crazy about it. It's from the files, I think it's Donna's recipe. My family isn't vegetarian but I have won them over to the idea of accepting me being vegetarian with this recipe. Kenia Con " Quiche " tador 1 deep dish pie shell (make your own or store bought) 4 large eggs 3/4 cups whole milk or cream 1/2 tube of Soyrizo 1 (4 oz) can mild green chilies, chopped 1/2 onion chopped 1 tsp. cumin 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. pepper 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese Garnish ----------- sour cream lettuce sliced olives diced tomatoes chopped cilantro Preheat oven to 350 degrees Line a quiche dish with crust and poke bottom of crust with fork making a few holes. Fry up the Soyrizo with onion and spices until crumbled and cooked through and onion is tender. Layer Soyrizo mix on pie crust shell, layer chiles, layer cheese. Beat eggs, milk or cream together with a dash or salt, and pour over layers in pie crust. Bake for 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cut into wedges and top with: Lettuce, sour cream, olives and tomato and a few sprigs of cilantro
