Guest guest
Hi Gary You are on the right path to recovery. You may also want to throw in a morning walk and an evening walk to your daily schedule and live by the maxim that food is just fuel for a human machine. Overfueling it will only make it malfunction. Eat to Live rather than Live to eat. Ever tried Yoga? Cheers Vikas On Sat, Jun 20, 2009 at 5:49 PM, Gary<aintnospamforme-1 wrote: > > > hello, > > My name is Gary and I am 59.5 years old. Guest guest
I have to watch what I eat being vegetarian because the food tastes better and I forget it has calories too. So when I first became vegetarian I gained some weight. You will have to make a life change for the better, get control on your over eating and dig out a kitchen food scale and count, count, count calories and exercise. No one likes to do this but it's the hard facts. Kenia
Guest guest
So true, I gained 10 lbs. I didn't think the veggie burgers and huge bowls of vegetarian chile had calories. Meat eaters often think the only calories they consume are from meat, no that just adds to it. Good luck, it will be hard work but you can do it. Guest guest
Hello Gary and welcome! First, congratulations on taking a big step towards improving your health! The others are right - you will still need to monitor your caloric intake in order to achieve your goals. You may want to enlist the help of of a nutritionist. He/she will be able to help you balance your new way of eating. I hope you enjoy this lifestyle as much as we all do! : ) Namaste.
