I've heard the old joke that goes something like -- a dog comes when you call him; cats take a message and get back to you later (maybe, if they feel like it). " He is your friend, your partner, your defender -- your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
