Guest guest
Hello Group [] My name is Haya and I live in Toronto, Canada. Love to learn and share with you on this chat. Tried many times to stop my meat eating habits but find it so difficult and knocks out my equilibrium. So I try always to have more vegies than meat. Here is a middle eastern recipe to share and I have no idea whether it has been posted before. Hurrak Isba'oh Ingredients: 3 cups lentils (round grain) 1 cup fettuccini, cut into small strips 2 large onions, cut lengthwise 1 whole head of garlic a bunch of fresh coriander 1/2 cup of olive oil 1/2 cup of sour pomegranate juice, lemon juice tamarind OR 2 tablespoons of pomegranate concentrate or any combination of the above according to taste. 1 loaf pita brad, cut into small diamond shaped pieces and fried. Method: Boil lentils in a generous amount of water until very well done. add fettuccini and keep stiring until the pasta is done. add lemon juice or tamarind & salt. if the mixture is soft, add flour; if too hard, add water. Fry the onions until transparent and add half of the quantity to the lentils and fettuccini, continue to fry until crispy golden brown and set aside. Fry the crushed garlic for a minute, add coriander and toss for few seconds. Add half the coriander mixture to the lentils. Add olive oil to the lentils. Place the lentils in a serving dish and garnish with the fried bread, onions and coriander. and to your health Blessings to all Haya
