Guest guest
This is fabulous!! Saute one chopped onion and some garlic in a frying pan. Add two pounds of TVP, (or Tofu Frozen and broken up) or whatever. Saute until well done and fine in texture. Drain any liquid from the pan. Now, in a large pot of a large crockpot, put your mixture in and add two cans of corn, three cans of beans mixed (black, chili, pinto, kidney, etc.), one can of hominy (white or yellow), one package of taco seasoning mix and one tablespoon of chili powder, and one jar of salsa (your choice). The salsa adds the liquid, so if it starts to dry, you can add water. Cook slowly for two hours. You can put it on low and do up to 8 hours in a crockpot. Serve with taco chips, top with cheese and/or sour cream. I spoon it out with taco chips after putting cheese on it. -- Marilyn Daub mcdaub My Cats Knead Me!!!
