Guest guest
No one responded to my question regarding this recipe (3 cups of water and only 2 cups of gluten). Anyway, I ended up adding another cup of gluten to make the correct consistency. I found it difficult to work the sauteed onions into the mixture (with other recipes I have added the onions with the liquid). The kids loved the vege-ribs (served with some sauce on the side) and omni DH even ate a couple and said they were good (he had the " other kind " that night). They didn't heat up that well the next day (were very tough on the ends) but that could be because I microwaved them (I was in a hurry). Changes I would make: -baste with bbq sauce thoughout the cooking -flip them over part way through so the bottoms get sauce as well -cook a little less (my oven is hot so I compensate for this but I think I'd decrease the time -decrease the water to 2 cups unless I want to make a large batch (then I'd increase the gluten to 3 cups) I only cooked half the recipe so I'll try the rest this week with my changes.
