Guest guest
Hi, as I am new to the list ( thanks for having me) haven't had time to read all the back messages yet or the files yet. What is TVP ? Dorothy in N. FL. - " wwjd " > You've inspired me to get go replenish my TVP. I had ran out of it. I > like it the way you made it too. Guest guest
I do like the McKay's seasonings, and they're much lower sodium than any kind of boullion I've found, so that's an additional plus! I'm glad you told me about them. I love the TVP granules for tacos and taco salad. I added it to taco soup the other day (with McKay's) and when I make chili, I'll definitely use it. The chunks don't look as appetizing (my mom said they looked like dog food!) but they looked just like mushroom chunks in the stroganoff. I have a recipe in my TVP cookbook that Donna recommended, I'm planning on trying Chunks in a Creole Sauce this week. I don't know how I went almost 2 years as a vegetarian without TVP! I am definitely going to have to start buying it in larger quantities, though... Audrey S. On Wed, Aug 5, 2009 at 9:16 AM, wwjd <jtwigg wrote: > > > You've inspired me to get go replenish my TVP. Guest guest
We eat a lot of TVP and have since it came out, but don't tell our kids. Right now since I managed to get the flu (not sure which flavor flu, just doctor said " flu, bed, fluids, rest. " He agreed with the echinacea (spell check?) drops, but then he's not just an internist. anywho. TVP. Food, tonight. Emergency ration out of freezer and it is in the crock pot for Carl. BBQ TVP meatlessballs, Sonny's BBQ sauce (sweet and tangy), pineapple chunks, peppers and onions. He can manage to boil some pasta to go with it for himself or just eat it with some bread (thank the Lord I made bread Monday.) I'm still craving miso soup and have almost finished the soup stored in the freezer. Buy TVP. TVP good. Many flavors, textures. Low fat (sausage one has more fat but you need some fat). Cheap. Sneaky food to put into carnivores. Walton Feeds and AAOOB have it in large quantities. Yum. Also, have had TVP jerky, also good. Chewy, whatever flavor you want. Yum. want soup. nighty night, OH and for goodness sake use the hand sanitizer and even wipe cans from grocery store with alcohol. It is probably how i got this blasted bug because i haven't been away from the house in a couple of months. Love and hugs, jeanne in ga
