Guest guest
I find the vendors know the veggies at the farmers market ,but the cashiers at Whole Foods sure don't. They are always asking me what I'm buying, how do I prepare it, etc. Donna
Guest guest
Isn't that the truth!! One time I bought a bunch of rhubarb and the young man at the check out asked me if I knew how much this " pink celery " was? So I gave him a quick lesson on rhubarb, how good it was in a strawberry/rhubarb pie and for him to remember that celery would always be light to medium green and would never be put into a strawberry pie! Lol! Nancy I find the vendors know the veggies at the farmers market ,but the cashiers at Whole Foods sure don't. They are always asking me what I'm buying, how do I prepare it, etc. Donna
Guest guest
I haven't. I belong to a CSA (consumer supported agriculture). I think a CSA is the best way to go because you know who is growing your food. Suzanne and I chat all the time and she will put extra squash in my bag or let me try something that wasn't part of the pick up. You may want to look into one. Its been a truly wonderful experiencen for me. If you have any questions about certain things I bet we could help. J Or Ill bug Suzanne.
