Guest guest Posted January 15, 2009 Report Share Posted January 15, 2009 SLOW COOKER HEARTY BLACK BEAN SOUP serves 8 3 medium carrots, halved -- thinly sliced 2 celery ribs -- thinly sliced 1 medium onion -- chopped 4 cloves garlic -- minced 1 can black beans (30 oz) -- rinsed and drained 2 cans broth -- (14.5 oz each) 1 can crushed tomatoes -- (15 oz) 1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 1/2 teaspoon chili powder 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce Hot cooked rice In a slow cooker, combine the first 12 ingredients.
