Guest guest
I found some gorgeous, fresh rutabagas on sale for .33 a pound but only got enough for this week. Does anyone know if they can be canned or frozen? We've never had enough of them to not eat in one or two meals. Any recipes you can suggest? I usually saute some onions, peel and cube the rutabagas and cook till tender, then mash with a little butter, salt and pepper. The ones we bought today were so fresh and sweet they didn't even need butter. I had a recipe for rutabagas with carrots in a casserole but can't find it. Ideas? Night, all and hugs, Jeanne in GA
