Guest guest
I supported my local high school by purchasing a large box of tangelos. I am limited on ideas on how to use them. The only creative recipe I have come up with so far is brandied tangelos (recipe below). Does anyone have any great ideas? Brandied Tangelos 1 tablespoon unsalted butter 8 tangelos (peeled and segmented) zest of 2 of the tangelos 1/2 cup honey 1/2 cup Apricot Brandy (I used this because I had it on hand, but I think it would be good with orange liqueur also) Melt butter in a large skillet. Add tangelos and zest and turn to coat with the butter. Heat for about 2 minutes to get the tangelos to release their juice. Pour in honey and stir to coat. Remove from heat and add brandy. Serve over vanilla ice cream and/or pound cake. _______________
