Guest guest Posted May 10, 2009 Report Share Posted May 10, 2009 Son number 4 gave me 4 movie DVD's (Bedtime Story, Quantum of Solace, Stealth and a D Day documentary I didn't have) and Carl brought home a bushel of squash. Guess what I've been doing since yesterday. Yup, cleaning, cutting and canning squash. Tonight we're having my favorite squash casserole made. It's a no brainer one, Sliced squash, Stove Top stuffing, cream of mushroom soup, and a cup or two of grated cheddar. Stir together and bake in a casserole dish. You can also make it with your own stuffing and bechamel sauce with some minced, cooked mushrooms but it's Mother's Day and I feel lazy. Not to mention that my joints are informing me that putting up 50 pounds of squash is a little too much to do alone. Happy Mother's Day, even to kitty, puppie, fishie and birdie mothers.
