Guest guest Posted December 15, 2008 Report Share Posted December 15, 2008 Apple Bean Bake 1 48 oz. can northern white beans 4 tbsps. butter 3 cups tart Granny Smith, peeled, seeded, cubed 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/4 cup light brown sugar 1/2 cup ketchup 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. salt Melt butter in large skillet. Add apples and onions, cook 10 minutes or until apples are tender, stirring occasionally. Add the brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Blend in the ketchup, cinnamon and salt. Place beans in a 2 quart casserole. Pour apple mixture over the beans and mix well. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 1 hour. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
